One week down . . . 8 to go! (I started early).

I did great this week! Toot. Toot. (that's the sound of my horn).

I followed the luteal rules and gave up dairy on day 4. I'm feeling good and very motivated to stick to the rules.

I've lost 4 lbs! It was a nice bonus. My focus right now is to feel better, I don't want to worry about weight loss yet. I'll admit, I am having fantasies of my extra weight just falling away because I'm eating right.

My cycle begins this week, and I'm honestly excited for 3 weeks from now to see if I still feel this good. I haven't had this many consistently up days in a while.

Some things that I think are helping my mood especially:
1. drinking water when I first wake up - rehydrates and helps me feel alert
2. increasing my mileage - I'm a runner and upped my mileage this week
3. longer walks with the dog

And this week I really did follow all the rules. I know that is probably the biggest reason I feel good. Day 1 of week two, today. Accidentally had milk in my cereal, realized after a few bites and corrected.

I guess I started this new eating plan (I'm avoiding the term diet) with a sprint, but I'm reminding myself slow and steady will get me to week 8!

Congratulations on one week down Turtle!!

I like your attitude, slow and steady. I look forward to hearing more on how well you do on your next cycle. Be sure and keep a food journal or calendar to track your progress. Having something to look back on helps immensely when you fall off the wagon. It's a way to help motivate and remind yourself how bad it once was.

Keep up the good work :)
